Josh Oertli CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, RICP®
Partner and Co-Founder
Background and Experience:
With nearly 20 years of financial planning experience and running multiple businesses, Josh Oertli specializes in partnering with business owners and professionals to help them understand and navigate the complexities that come with building and managing wealth. Leveraging his extensive background in planning, Josh has helped hundreds of clients negotiate life's challenges by providing solutions to issues ranging from risk management and education planning to executive benefits and equity compensation. As an experienced Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Josh works with families on investment portfolio analysis, retirement distribution planning, charitable giving, and creating a multi-generational family plan.
Personal:
Outside of work, Josh enjoys sports, particularly basketball, golf, and long distance running. He has participated in several ultra-marathons around the country ranging from 50 kilometers to 100+ miles and hopes to one day qualify for the Boston Marathon. He and his wife, Tina, live in Edina and are the proud parents of two boys, Adrian and Harrison. He enjoys coaching their basketball teams, playing golf with them, and watching them play soccer. Josh and Tina stay active in the community by supporting causes that have impacted their friends and family including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Make-A-Wish, and the MS Society.

Jarrett P Yehlen CFP®
Partner and Co-Founder
Background and Experience:
With over a decade of experience in financial planning, strategic leadership and relationship management, Co-Founder and Partner, Jarrett P. Yehlen serves as a trusted advisor to executives/senior administrator professionals in collegiate athletics, business owners and those nearing retirement. Jarrett’s extensive background and work with clients in the NCAA, NBA and Major League Soccer help him understand the complex dynamics and shifting demands of the profession and the stresses it places on families. He is an expert at understanding the unique benefits provided by both private and public organizations and guiding clients in creating wholistic and comprehensive planning solutions for today, tomorrow and the future.

Personal:
Jarrett was born in Norfolk, VA and grew up on military bases across the United States and has resided in Minnesota since 2005. He and his wife, Jenny, along with their three high-energy children, Brady, Drew and Claire, enjoy traveling, playing and watching sports of any kind, and spending time together. In addition to being incredibly involved parents, Jarrett served on the Advisory Board for Minnesota United FC during their transition to Major League Soccer and founded his own charity, College Football for a Cure, benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Background and Experience:
Mark has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2015 after leaving an engineering career to pursue financial planning. His unique skillset and problem-solving abilities bring expertise to both the analytical side of wealth management, in addition to advising clients on a daily basis. In his 9 years with the organization, Mark has developed a particular focus on comprehensive planning, tax efficiency, asset distribution strategies, as well as insurance & investment planning at all levels. Overall, Mark is known for his attention to detail and clearly identifying the pros and cons of different ways to pursue whatever the financial objective may be.
Personal:
Mark and his wife Megan live in Savage, MN with their son Camden and dog Maija. In his free time, you can find Mark playing golf, cycling, and exercising on a regular basis. He also likes escaping to their family property in northern MN to enjoy bonfires and ATV rides throughout the year.

Jack has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2019 and joined the team in April of 2020. Jack helps with the composition and implementation of financial plans, providing clarity to complex planning scenarios.

Jack and his wife, Kario, enjoy biking and running in the summers, and skiing in the winters.

Courtney has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2010 and works hand-in-hand with our clients to help them implement their insurance, investment, and estate planning objectives.

Hannah joined the team in 2022 after moving to Minnesota from Georgia. Hannah is MN Life, Accident, and Health insurance licensed, and handles all insurance operations for the team.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys travelling, being outside, and spending time with her daughter.

Background & Experience:
Sam joined Northwestern Mutual in the summer of 2020 as a financial representative intern. He transitioned to the financial planning department in 2021 before joining Josh Oertli’ s team in late 2021. Sam serves as the Director of Investments, where he assists with investment strategy selection, investment analysis, asset movement, and staying updated on current market conditions. Sam enjoys analyzing client portfolios to help optimize their probability to reach their financial goals.
Personal:
Sam is a native to Shakopee, MN. In his free time, Sam enjoys golfing, lifting weights, and playing pickleball. Sam and his wife love traveling and hiking together. Sam is a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan and tries to go to Lambeau Field every year.

Background and Experience:
Kayla joined the team in 2023 but has been with Northwestern Mutual since 2013. She began her career working as an Associate Financial Representative and was most recently responsible for managing the Edina-NM office team over the past 7 years. Continuing in a similar role today with Itasca Wealth, Kayla oversees the effective execution of the team's daily operations and coordinates workflows among everyone to ensure that our client’s needs are fully met. In addition to workflow management, she has her hands in several other team operations including Finance, HR, and Philanthropic efforts.
Personal:
Born and raised in Minnesota; Kayla and her husband, Ed, currently live in Lakeville. Their two children Greyson and Kinsley keep them very busy. They enjoy exploring the various state parks and trails for family hiking and/or play dates. In Kayla’s free time, her hobby of choice is online shopping.

Paul joined Northwestern Mutual in fall of 2022. Prior to that, Paul was a PGA Golf Professional, most recently serving as the Head Golf Professional at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club in Lakeville, MN where he took great pride in providing excellent service to members. Paul is now in a service role with the team and works directly with clients to ensure a satisfactory experience and long-term success of their financial plan.
Personal:
Paul and his wife Kelsey live in West St. Paul with their son Graham. Outside of work, Paul enjoys playing golf and being a sports fan.

Background & Experience:
Travis joined the team in 2023 after spending the majority of his career leading operations teams across several different industries. He oversees our team’s operations and identifies growth opportunities for the firm while ensuring that each of our clients has an exceptional experience. Travis is also responsible for leading our strategic planning efforts and coordinating the execution around our defined priorities.
Personal:
Travis lives in Golden Valley with his wife, Renee, and their two boys, Reid and Alex. In his spare time he enjoys running, yoga, reading, and attending as many Timberwolves and Twins games as possible.
